Women’s Football Hub is proud to announce that we have been awarded a £5,000 grant through a partnership between Glasgow Caledonian University and Santander. This funding marks a major milestone in our mission to create accessible, empowering spaces for women and girls in football.
A New Playing Hub for Women and Girls
The grant will support the launch of our first dedicated playing hub a welcoming environment where women and girls of all ages and abilities can learn, play and enjoy football without pressure or competition. Our focus is on building confidence, developing skills and fostering a sense of community through the joy of the game.
This hub represents the beginning of a wider vision: creating more inclusive football spaces across Scotland and opening the door for more women and girls to experience the sport in a way that feels supportive, fun and accessible.
Introducing Our New Podcast Series: Player Stories
To celebrate this exciting step forward, we are also soon going to be launching our new podcast series, Player Stories. Each episode will feature real experiences from players across the women’s game their journeys, challenges, breakthroughs and the moments that shaped their love for football.
By sharing these stories, we hope to inspire the next generation of players and highlight the diverse pathways that lead women and girls into the sport.
Looking Ahead
We are incredibly grateful to Glasgow Caledonian University, it’s entrepreneurial hub and Santander for believing in our mission and supporting the growth of women’s football. More information about the playing hub will be announced in due course.
This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to welcome you onto the pitch.
