A welcome from Carolyn Kent

Collating the evidence base

Great players aren’t just born – they’re selected, trained, moulded, and tested. Since 2024, Women’s Football Hub, a not-for-profit venture; has been seeking to empower, inspire and educate all those involved with the women’s game. However, we don’t work alone and we are inviting you to join us. If you have a subject you think could benefit female players and you can back this up with high quality evidence, we want to hear from you.

Women’s Football Hub was founded by Carolyn Kent, a former footballer, physiotherapist, and academic with a passion for evidence-based performance and injury prevention. Having experienced first hand the challenges faced by women in the sport both on and off the pitch Carolyn recognised a gap in accessible, high-quality resources tailored specifically to female players, coaches, and support staff.

Driven by a desire to bridge the knowledge gap, influence policy, and reduce dropout rates in women’s football, she launched Women’s Football Hub as a digital platform. What started as a podcast and resource hub has now grown into a Community Interest Company (CIC), dedicated to supporting the long-term health and success of female footballers.

Our Mission

As a not-for-profit organization, our goal is to create an inclusive space where players, coaches, medical professionals, and researchers can access reliable information, engage in meaningful discussions, and contribute to the future of women’s football.

We focus on:
Education & Research – Sharing the latest in sports science, physiotherapy, injury prevention, and performance training.
Community & Advocacy – Providing a platform for voices in women’s football, addressing barriers to participation, and promoting retention in the sport.
Innovation & Support – Developing tools, resources, and initiatives that empower athletes, teams, and professionals working in the women’s game.
